Hi there, friend! I’m Allie.
The “more” behind Moore Food Systems Consulting LLC.
People aren’t meant to eat alone, and you don’t have to do this work alone either.
I am an Eastern Washington-based, Midwestern-raised, foodie, data nerd, and cat lover. I pride myself on being a skeptical realist often confused for a naive dreamer. I just believe that if we work together, think creatively, and use our resources wisely, a lot more is possible than many think. That’s why I love helping food systems partners break their vision down into a clear roadmap.
I bring a perspective rooted in equity, community-based public health practice, and data-driven approaches. To guide this work, I have about a decade of experience, along with a B.S. in Community Health, Certificate in Mapping/Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and skills as a Certified Health Education Specialist.
I’ve supported food banks, extension programs, retailers, producers, school districts, and others grow tools and markets for food access. Many of these experiences has been with supporting start-up programs, or other high-pressure situations like COVID-19 emergency food distribution plans. It takes a lot to faze me, which translates into a practical, grounded approach to help you move from idea to action plan.
When my most recent statewide retail access support role with Washington State University Extension SNAP-Ed ended due to a shift in federal funding in 2026, I saw how much technical support for producers and food businesses was still missing. I launched Moore Food Systems Consulting to help fill that gap.
When I’m not helping folks navigate local food supply chains, you can find me nerding out over history, cracking dark jokes with family, annoying our cats Badger and Rey, and getting outside for kayaking and geocaching.
